2009 price rises

Unless you live under a rock or don't ride bikes, you'd a have noticed that for 2009 the average price of our beloved two-wheelers has risen with a fair amount of oomph! Some brands slapping as much as 20% right across their range.
There are a number of good reasons for this which we won't go into, but there are two obvious upsides as a result.

1. The Independent Bicycle Dealer can now get a little more margin back, and possibly can get away with slightly less volume than last season in order to beat budget.

Bike Shops say 'hello 20th century'

Ok, so the cycling industry in Australia is still relatively small by comparison but it's certainly not young. For as long as Moses was a boy there have been independent bicycle dealers in this fine country. Not to mention the plethora of world class cyclists that we have sent far and wide to whoop some international bootie.

Best of the best, or best of the rest?

So its Le Tour time again and who gives a rats?

Well I for one do! I'm a mud-monkey all over and will never be caught dead on skinny wheels, but there is one event that tickles my pickle every year - and that the Tour de Lance. But not as much as it could…..

There are many who will complain that its now just a joke in the wake of all the drug fiasco. Floyd Landis just had lost his doping appeal as I pen this and I for one think that’s sad.

Props to da souf-side crew

Cycleheads log:

We safely navigated the dry dock and are now on our maiden voyage into cyber space.
A whole bunch of work has gone into getting this rusty nail off the deck and it wouldn't have happened without the suport and hard work of a few key red-suits.

Firstly to ANSO. Matsa and the crew have done a Stellar job and considering I was a mere inturn at kick-off, they managed to arm us with all the right tools to sit in the big chair and bring YOU out there what YOU want.
